Project Manager- Land Development - Newark, NJ| Manasquan, NJ| Princeton, NJ

Join VHB as a Project Manager – Land Development to help grow their expanding and innovative Land Development team in New Jersey. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic team, across diverse disciplines, giving you exposure to a wide variety of projects in size and scope. Our clients include mixed-use, biotech, residential, multifamily, affordable housing, industrial, and hospitality developers. Responsibilities

• Direct projects by managing and delegating tasks, forecasting and proactively addressing workload, financial performance, and staffing needs, while collaborating with clients and teammates across the organization
• Oversee and engage in the development of existing client relationships, including conducting periodic meetings, developing proposals and budgets, and gathering feedback with teammates
• Prepare agreements and manage the creation and approval of construction plans, bid documents, technical specifications, and construction cost estimates
• Analyze complex technical challenges and develop new or improved techniques, approaches, and alternative solutions
• Promote career development, training and career path planning for all of your direct team members.
• Develop engineering plans and specifications in a team environment for a multitude of projects

Skills and Attributes

• Willingness to learn implementation of integrated services projects in a team with multidisciplinary skills
• Knowledge of land development construction including codes and development regulations
• Exhibits strong leadership skills and growth potential
• Has interest in growing business development skills

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or related degree
• 8-11+ years of increasing engineering experience on complex projects preferred
• PE licensure in NJ or ability to obtain within 6 months
• Knowledge of NJ stormwater management required
• Proficient in site layout, grading, utility design and stormwater management
• Experience in developing and compiling/producing site plans, construction documents, specification, and engineering reports
• Understanding of New Jersey market
• Experience with GIS Systems is a plus – GIS is one of the tools we use to create better projects
• Proficient in the following: AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Project, MS Office

Our best estimate of the salary range for this position located in New Jersey is $120,000-150,000. This offer is determined based on a number of job-related factors including internal comparators, skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities and geographic location.
